I haven't seen many cel galleries based on Blue Gender. When I
first watched the series, I was very impressed with the quality of the
animation, so I decided to buy a few cels. The premise is also a great one. Yuji
discovers he has an incurable disease and his only chance for survival is a
possible cure that might be developed in the future. Using a cryogenic sleep
chamber, he's awakened 28 years later only to discover the world has been
ravaged by an insect like menace called the Blue. Forget a cure, It's hard
enough to not get eaten by these giant bugs.
Blue Gender is also one of the last cel based anime series to be created
by AIC who has since switched to computer generated imaging (CGI) to cut costs
and to decrease production time.
